Director of Artist Accelerator Program

We are currently seeking a Director of the Artist Accelerator Program to join the team, be based in Los Angeles and report to the founder and CEO, Ari Herstand. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, organized and laser focused on growing artist careers in the New Music Business. This person will be heading the new Artist Accelerator program at Ari’s Take and will be managing the day-to-day operations of all of the artists signed to the roster. This person will work alongside the Ari’s Take team to accomplish all goals set out by the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute single release campaigns from start to finish 
  • Communicate with the artists on a daily basis
  • Come up with innovative ways to grow each artist’s career based on the latest developments in the industry and digital landscape
  • Keep up with all the latest developments within the industry
  • Implement experimental tactics to grow each artist
  • Maximize and utilizing the budget to its highest potential
  • Run and execute digital marketing campaigns utilizing FB, IG, YT and Google advertisements 
  • Spearhead all influencer marketing campaigns 
  • Be the point person for all outside contact for the artist when a personal manager is not involved. 
  • Work alongside booking agents, promoters, labels, publishers, publicists and other personnel on the team
  • Help plan and route tours
  • Secure booking agency representation for each artist
  • Secure publishing or sync licensing representation for each artist
  • Secure opening touring opportunities
  • Setup showcase events and other performance opportunities
  • Secure brand partnerships 
  • Seek revenue generating opportunities 
  • Increase artist’s revenue by at least 50% in one year

Qualifications 

Successful candidates will possess: 

  • 3+ years of day-to-day artist management 
  • True belief in the mission of Ari’s Take with a passion to change the music industry and empower independent artists
  • A diverse knowledge of current musical trends spanning pop, rock, funk, singer/songwriter, R&B and hip hop. 
  • A deep understanding of the philosophies from How To Make it in the New Music Business
  • Proficiency with Instagram, TikTok, Spotify for Artists, Facebook, YouTube
  • Baseline understanding of Chartmetric, Mailchimp, analytics for all social sites and streaming services, Shopify, Facebook Business and Ads manager
  • Experience with Slack and Asana
  • Positive energy
  • Optimistic outlook with a passion for disruption 
  • Intellectual curiosity with a drive to problem solve
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Solid understanding of business concepts and ability to quickly learn function overviews
  • Effective time management skills and ability to work well under pressure
  • Flexibility and agility in a high-growth environment
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking and prioritization skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness
  • Advanced computer and internet search skills

Part-time position with potential for full-time within 6 months. Starting salary: $2,500-3,500/mo plus bonuses and health care stipend.

Operations Coordinator

We are currently seeking an Operations Coordinator to join the team, be based in Los Angeles and report to the Manager of Operations. We are looking for someone who is passionate and dedicated to the mission of Ari’s Take – ready to grow the company into the world’s leading music business education hub and change the music industry as we know it. This person will help manage the day to day operations of the company. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Field all questions, concerns and student support issues for Ari’s Take Academy
  • Performing administrative tasks, such as making travel arrangements, answering phones, scheduling meetings, etc.
  • Scheduling social media content
  • Assisting with production in virtual and live events
  • Assisting with project management by creating assignments, tracking progress, and resolving issues
  • Assist with the planning and organizing of conferences, events, staff training, and employee engagement activities
  • Arranging and assisting with the onboarding of new employees
  • Managing office supplies and the maintenance of office equipment
  • Preparing monthly operational reports for VP of Operations
  • Liaise with relevant company personnel at all levels
  • Assist in the overall day to day operations of the company

  • A deep understanding of the philosophies from Ari Herstand’s best selling book How to Make It in the New Music Business
  • Proficient with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter
  • Baseline understanding of Photoshop, Illustrator, Google Apps, Mailchimp, Video editing software like Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro or iMovie, Audio editing DAW like Logic, Pro Tools or Garageband
  • Experience with Slack and Asana
  • Positive energy
  • Optimistic outlook with a passion for disruption 
  • Intellectual curiosity with a drive to problem solve
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Solid understanding of business concepts and ability to quickly learn function overviews
